WHAT IS EXERCISE PHYSIOTHERAPY?

Exercise physiotherapy is a branch of physiotherapy that focuses on the use of physical activity and exercise to prevent and treat physical injuries, illnesses, and conditions. It can be used to improve overall health and wellbeing, as well as to manage specific health problems.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Exercise physiotherapy can involve a range of activities, from gentle stretching and strengthening exercises to more vigorous aerobic and anaerobic workouts. An exercise physiologist will tailor an individualised program based on a person's needs, goals, and abilities. Exercise physiotherapy can provide many benefits, including improved fitness, strength, flexibility, and balance; reduced pain and stiffness; increased energy levels; and improved mental health.
